Being Broken

I was broken,
And made deaf to the world;
So I prayed: Beloved, will I ever hear thee again?
The Beloved answered: You will hear again with My ears.

I was broken,

And blinded to all the beauty I once saw;
So I prayed: Beloved, will I ever see thee again?
The Beloved answered: You will see again with My eyes.

I was broken,

And knew nothing that I thought I once knew;
So I prayed: Beloved, will I ever know thee again?
The Beloved answered: You will know again with My knowing.

I was broken,
And had lost my way;
So I prayed: Beloved, will I ever find thee again?
The Beloved answered: You will find me again through My guidance.

I was broken,

And felt so alone;
So I prayed: Beloved, will I ever be united with thee again?
The Beloved answered: Make me a reality and I will make you the Truth!
