Your Heart is the Light of Two Worlds

Within your heart is the light lit from two worlds

Inner and outer, Heaven and Earth.

There is no other unto its likeness

For it burns with the life essence of these two worlds.

 

It is a ‘brightly furbished lamp’ shining light from two worlds

Which is no ordinary light for it can not be extinguished:

In the world, the light of heaven keeps it radiant, and

In the heavens, the light of manifestation fuels its illumination.

 

The heart is a mystery of light;

Light within light, ‘a light upon a light’.

In this mystery of light there is no real darkness,

But only layers and veils, such that

Each layer grows dark by virtue of your gaze into a greater sun,

With each veil as a luminous shadow of self yet to be known.

 

These veils give us the mystery of light and love, of existence itself!

They entice us into their mystery through a lover’s desire hidden in our soul

And ignite a burning which alone can integrate the veils of Being.

Without this mystery there would be no existence,

Nor return to union and the beloved.

 

Your heart is the seeker and knower

Of the eternal mysteries of light.

It is an un-veiler, a sun

Inevitably unveiling the way of life’s path

As a luminous glance unveils ‘that which transpires behind that which appears’.

The heart indeed has eyes to see and ears to hear far beyond

What appears shrouded in past and future.

 

Your heart is a lovers hearth alive with the warmth and illumination

of love’s fire.

Not only your love of others but God’s love of you:

‘For you were loved ever before you loved’.

This love is never apart nor un-present in your heart.

 

Feel your heart,

Breathing and beating with light and love.

Become present to its life so it can become present in your life.

Breathe with your whole heart – let your breath flow as light through each chamber, each subtle center,

soothing, opening, connecting, deepening and expanding.

 

Let your heart become the growing light of dawn,

an all-encompassing, rising force of Love and Truth

Uniting heaven and earth in your undivided, wholly luminous being.
